Grant Evaluation Process:
The Foundation is guided by the Board of Trustees. As Trustees, they establish the grant guidelines, policies, maintain investments of the Temple Foundation and make all final decisions regarding the acceptance or declination of grant requests. Generally, Trustees will not meet with an applicant to evaluate a proposal but at times during the decision making process may schedule a site visit to assist in making their final decision.
Final decisions regarding Grant Proposals are made jointly by the Board of Trustees. Generally, the Board of Trustees will advise applicants the status of their requests before the end of December. Grant approvals are usually funded in the first quarter of the following year.
Applicants whose proposals are declined or who receive grants in amounts less than requested should understand that the Temple Foundation receives many more proposals than it has the resources to fund.
